oh yay! perricone promo giveaway, a really nice $150 value!

by gilda rêvasseur on December 13, 2009

i can’t count the number of times i’ve woken up, looked in the mirror and said, “oh great. here’s another mother of zits coming my way.” ever since i first broke out in acne when i was 19, i’ve been on the constant quest for skin products that will help soothe and heal my sensitive, oily, acne-prone, and ultimately really fickle skin. some days it behaves so well, but some days it decides to stab a knife through my heart. you must have heard me sulk about my bad skin on more than one occasion!

add all that to the fact that i’m only getting older, and am paranoid of getting wrinkles (i’m 26 and haven’t had any yet, thank god!), basically this constant hunt for the ultimate skin solution is like reaching the 3rd base station of mount everest and realising there are 293819274 stations left before you get to the mountain top.

cold plasma

enter perricone md’s cold plasma, the latest hoo-hah in scientific skincare. i actually use a couple of perricone md products, so when i got wind of this new revolutionary item, it made me sit up and take notice.

cold plasma is the result of 5 years of intensive research guided by a lifetime of scientific knowledge, a breakthrough in skincare technology from renowned healthy aging expert dr. nicholas perricone.

it is said to take care of a heap of different signs of aging, including wrinkles, enlarged pores, dryness, discoloration, redness, uneven skin tone, impurities, loss of firmness, loss of smoothness and loss of radiance.

but here is where it gets really interesting!

cold plasma is said to help enhance your current anti-aging routine through the power of biochemical individuality. what?? what the heck’s biochemical individuality, you say?

it is a patented ionic (i.e. charged particles) suspension carrier system which allows for your skin to extract from cold plasma’s formula according to your individual, unique needs. that’s right, you read it correct. this means that this tub of cream has enough smarts to provide a personalized system for you and me. yay!

for those of us who have sensitive skin, it also contains no parabens, fragrance, sulfates, mineral oil, and artificial colours or fillers!

while there is a great selection at perricone promo where you can purchase kits to kick you off in the right direction,  i was lucky enough to be contacted by the folks at perricone to have this giveaway for my darling readers, so don’t miss out!

all you have to do is pretty simple. in the comments, let me know about your skin woes in a few sentences! if you have a blog, extra credit will be given if you post about this contest, and link back to here. (if you link back to here, please mention that in your comment and also paste the link to your blog post!) or you could also retweet for an additional entry!!

AND, did i mention this was worth $150? not exactly something you can buy just to try, so here’s your big chance!

the contest will close on christmas eve, december 24th, and the winner will be announced on christmas! unfortunately, this contest is only open to people living in the united states. but i know there are many of you out there, so enter away!

good luck!

I’ve had horrible blackheads all over my nose, upper lip, and chin since the sixth grade, which are exacerbated by every moisturizer I’ve ever tried. I have 3 giant red blotches on my face that will not go away; one at the top of my nose, one on the side of my nose, and one in the left part of my forehead. The skin on my nose and forehead is so dry that people ask me if I’m sunburned (even in the winter!). I have scattered acne all over my face excluding my cheeks, which are pockmarked from old pimples and blackheads.

I REALLY want to try this!
My skin is always red and discolored and my pores are sooo big no matter what I do!! My skin has so many problems and nothing much works, but I have heard such great things about this that I would love to try it. Thanks for the opportunity!

Okay, I’ll bite.

Since I was a tween, I had extremely greasy skin and bad acne. Nothing helped until I went on Accutane when I was 18, which seemed to clear me up. Flash forward to two years later: My skin suddenly hates me again, but in a new way. Tea tree oil, which used to fix up my Accutane-”cured” skin, no problem, now irritates my face to high heavens no matter how much I moisturize. I have hard lumps of painful cystic acne and /dry/ skin, which I’ve never had before. It’s worse than when I was a zitty teenager! :C

My skin is just like yours – when I get blemishes, they’re ginormous, and I’m very in between – dry here, combo here, sensitive here… Add to the fact that I’m fair, so my complexion is somewhat ruddy, blemishes show up like an an angry prom date, who won’t leave me be!

I tweeted you too, dear!

Skin woes? OH MY DEAR GILDA. I’m also 26 and still have problem skin like I did when I was a teenager! I have the driest, most sensitive little face, and I have to moisturize like crazy (and I still break out a lot, too). I was on Accutane for a while about 7 years ago, but it didn’t like me. All this to say…I would LOVE to try something new to try and help my complexion!
(And yes, I’m Canadian, but I am kinda sorta technically living in the US this year…does having a US mailing address count? Because winning this would be RAD.)

My pimple story is like a director’s cut of all the lord of the rings movies–epic and never-ending. (As is this comment, but I feel that three sentences does not suffice in fathoming this unwelcomed curse on my face. Sorry! :( )

Unlike other people who were able to go through the curse of puberty while in high school, my skin decided to rebel with its angriest, most swollen, greasiest pimple squad as soon as I reached college -__-. I was an earnest Frodo, trying desperately to make everything better, but with the face of Gollum. *HISS*

Red-faced and bumpy, I’ve been desperately trying to look for products that would save my self-esteem. While Proactiv is somewhat able to keep my cystic acnes at bay, it makes my skin dry and feeling thin; the strong chemicals make me feel like my skin is aging faster and my scars are darker and more prominent :( .

All I want to do is reach freaking Mordor and get rid of this heavy burden that I carry on my face haha. Be my *insert favorite LOTR character here* and help me finish this quest, Glinda! haha :)

I just realized I called you Glinda, like the good witch in Wizard of Oz….-__- lol Sorry *GILDA!!!

I had great skin until all of a sudden wrinkles started taking over. I’ve heard Perricone and Cold Plasma work miracles for wrinkles. I’d love to win this and try it out for myself!!

Oh, do I have skin woes! At 55 years old and having grown up in the desert, my skin has issues. I have had pre-cancerous spots burned off and do I look old! I would love to hydrate my skin with a product that actually works and get rid of some of these wrinkles, redness and dullness. HELP!

i can pretty much sum up my skin woes in 2 words: enlarged pores! i actually have quite a few minor skin problems, but the enlarged pores are definitely the most annoying of the bunch!
